If you haven't yet, you will...it's just a matter of time. :)  When you do, Getting good with Google Reader is a very valuable overview of the key keyboard shortcuts that you'll need to make the most of Google Reader.  As with most peeps, these are my keys:

j - next
p - previous
v - view in window
ga - All Items
SHIFT-n - next folder
SHIFT-o - open folder

I'll definitely be trying to get used to some of the others outlined in the aforementioned article as well.  The gu keyboard shortcut is definitely the snazziest that I didn't know about.  I think Reader is the most Ajax-irific app I've used thus far, how 'bout you?

Make Google Reader perty

I'm now a full time user of google reader as well and I love it (even though lately I've been suffering though a lot of "oops! failed to do operation, try again later"!). And I got so used to j and k (which works the same as p, I think, but it's closer) that sometimes I find myself pressing J like an idiot in other post-like sites like slashdot and wondering why it doesn't move to the next entry!

I've been noticing some flakiness lately as well. It seems to resolve itself rather quickly so hopefully the googlebots will make the tweaks necessary for them to go away for good. It is funny how you come to expect the keyboard shortcuts in other applications. Perhaps we can talk everyone into supporting them? :)
